At Zong, we delight in the serene and unexpected.

We take joy in serving our customers savory Chinese dishes, all the while honoring traditional cooking techniques as well as providing unique flavor experiences for the modern palate.

Our name Zong is actually the Tibetan word for "county", and since we opened our doors, we have been continuously inspired to take communities of friends, families, and discerning foodies on a gastronomical journey through China's rich history and culture. Zong cuisine is about exploring possibilities and opening people's eyes to modern and exciting twists to familiar Chinese recipes.

We remain grateful and honored to have received accolades from customers and food critics who have grown to love the restaurant´s modern flair. Zong has been part of the Philippine Tatler's Best Restaurant guide since its inception and has also received recognition from the 24/7 Nocturnal Navigator and Manila's Best Kept Restaurant Secrets.

Redefined History

Zong was conceptualized to bring something entirely unique and fresh to Manila's vast restaurant landscape.

Zong is the brainchild of entrepreneur Joshua Tiu, whose family has been in the food business for over 30 years. Josh furthered his knowledge of the industry in Switzerland where he studied Hotel & Restaurant Management. He also worked in various hotel chains in Europe and North America before returning to the Philippines to pursue plans of putting up his own restaurant.

Zong was established in December of 2003, with the opening of its flagship store in Fort Bonifacio, Global City. Concocting Chinese dishes with a modern and stylish finish, the restaurant soon gained a loyal following.

Today, Zong continues to win over food aficionados all over the metro. Two years after the Bonifacio branch opened, a second branch in Westgate, Alabang was established. And recently, a branch in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Centris Walk Quezon City are now open.

We make sure that whenever we bring a meal to your table, it is prepared with only the freshest of ingredients. At Zong, we understand that the integrity of a dish stems from skillful preparation married with care and respect for each individual ingredient.

We prefer to keep our recipes absolutely MSG free, and we strive to conjure up inventive dishes that preserve natural flavors our guests can appreciate and enjoy time and time again.

Redefined Food

Our kitchens are devoted to serving up familiar Chinese fare infused with modern style. We take pride in creating innovative dishes by seamlessly blending time-honored preparation techniques with exuberant, new approaches. We have on our menu, for example, bestselling signature reinventions like the Singapore-Style Fish Fillet and the Chicken with Salted Egg.

Our guests can always expect an enhanced, alternative Chinese dining experience at Zong. We are constantly seeking ways to develop spirited and exciting recipes so you can be sure that there is always something new to try on our menu.

Redefined Space

At Zong, we believe that there are few things better than a delectable meal shared in a stylish yet cozy setting. In line with our modern Chinese cuisine philosophy, interior designer N. Jardenil created a look for the restaurant that is both strikingly chic, and yet casual and inviting.

A touch of warmth is evident in our interiors and we consider this one reason why our customers keep coming back. Our bench style seating also ensures that each meal and lively piece of conversation can be shared comfortably with family and friends.
